Community Care Worker Llanybydder

As a result of our continued success we are expanding our localities model and are seeking Community Care Workers in the Llanybydder area.

Your role will be varied and focused around the citizen, the things that they like, don’t like, what is important to them and what they would like to achieve. You will question how best to support citizens and how your direct and indirect support is adding real impact to their life. By supporting in this way we reduce the risk of homelessness, social isolation and open up opportunities which enable citizens to live their life in the way they choose. You could be supporting citizens with daily living support, complex care, and personal care or supporting citizens with housing relating issues and emotional support which aims to prevent homelessness and social isolation.

Our Community Care Workers mostly work alone with the citizen in their home. We support citizens with a variety of different needs that may include adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, older people, people with a disability, and people with drug and alcohol problems or homeless people. Stamina to meet both the physical and emotional demands of providing care and support services is essential.

You will receive full training, back up with regular guidance and supervision from an experienced manager.

Skills desired:

  • 
Self motivated, have a caring personality, reliable and can always work in the best interests of the citizen.
  • Understanding of and commitment to supportive team working.
  • 
Self-confidence to challenge and use initiative as necessary, implementing sound solutions to problems.
  • Good administrative skills and the ability to produce accurate and relevant work both written and computer based.
  • Plenty of common sense to ensure that the necessary action is taken to protect citizens and staff.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours as necessary.
  • Have a full, valid driving licence and use of own car for work purposes.

QCF Assessor in Childcare, Learning and Development

Job opportunity for a:-

QCF Assessor in Health and Social Care

 

We are looking to recruit a QCF Assessor in Health and Social Care to mainly work in the Mid and North of Powys.

We have an opening for an assessor to initially work three days a week, though an alternative working pattern in this role would also be considered.

We would be looking at an immediate start (subject to references and a DBS check).

Competitive hourly rate dependant on experience.

We would consider training an assessor, provided they had a good background in working within the Health and Social Care sector and ideally a minimum of a QCF Level 3 or equivalent.
