Current vacancies as a Community Care Worker in Ammanford

Job Description

You will need:-
Clear and confident communication skills
A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to assist with personal care
The ability to remain calm under pressure
A genuine interest in helping people
A full UK driving licence
To be DBS checked and hopefully registered on the DBS update service

Your role: –
• Create and maintain positive relationships with Citizens and family carers.
• Promote the health, well-being and independence to the Citizen.
• Develop the independence of Citizen through care plans/ short term enablement plans.
• Provide general advice and guidance to customers to help them to make informed choices.
• At some times assist Citizen with dignified and intimate personal care needs.
• Engage with Citizen, family carers and others to promote alternative ways to meet and maintain their long-term needs.
• Promote a range of services to help people live independently and safely at home.
• Monitor Citizens progress against care plans and complete records for the ongoing review process.

We offer you: –
• Paid mileage (45p) and for your travel time
• Free uniform
• Free DBS check
• Free induction training
• Free training including the new Level 2 Health and Social Care Core qualification and progression to Level 3 qualification
• Guaranteed hours at either full or part time. A variety of working patterns are available. You can work evening and / or weekend working only.
This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.
