Current vacancies as a Support Worker in Wrexham

The day to day role could be helping someone to prepare their lunch, do everyday chores, going to activities, meeting friends and family, visiting health professionals, helping someone with their personal care, being a friendly ear for a chat.

We can offer you full or part time contracted hours, we help people at all times of the day (and night): from helping with breakfast to going to bed and in some cases sleeping in* in case we are needed.  (*sleep in payment currently: £71.28)

You will need:-

Clear and confident communication skills

Current vacancies as a Flying Start and Cylch Room Leader - Brecon

The Flying Start and Cylch Room Leader will be responsible for planning, preparing and leading daily activities for all children within the Flying Start scheme, and in constructive cooperation with existing Meithrin childcare provision. They will pro-actively support a positive partnership between the Flying Start setting and participating families, and lead in the provision of care and learning activities that are of a consistent high quality, meeting the standards set by relevant governing bodies and the differing needs of individual children within the setting.

Essential Requirements

  • QCF Level 5 in Early Years Education (or equivalent as recognised by Social Care Wales) or Childcare Learning and Development as appropriate to the role
  • Experience of delivering Welsh Government Flying Start Childcare Guidance based activities or of working in a nursery environment as appropriate to the role
  • Confident use of day to day Welsh – first language or confident learner
  • Trained in Elklan methods or willing to be trained within the first 6 months in position
  • A genuine love of children and young people
  • A good understanding of children’s developmental needs
  • The ability to communicate with parents/carers and children
  • Good teamwork skills with the ability to work under own initiative when required
  • A positive attitude with a good sense of humour
  • Planning skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience of working with children with additional needs
  • Knowledge or experience of working in a Play work environment (up to age 12)
  • Knowledge or experience of working in a Foundation Phase curriculum environment
  • A demonstrable passion for the Welsh language and understanding of the aims of Cylch Meithrin Aberhonddu

Contract length: 6 months

Current vacancies as a Childcare Business Support Team Member - Merthyr Tydfil

Contract until 31st March 2022 initially with the possibility of extension

Providing childcare business support to all childcare providers including playgroups, nurseries, childminders, afterschool clubs, holiday clubs, childminders and parent and toddler groups in Merthyr Tydfil and across Wales

Homebased but with the requirement to carry out visits and attend face to face meetings.

Current vacancies as a Nursery Assistant - Brecon

Cylch Meithrin Aberhonddu @ Cymryd Rhan are looking for a Setting Assistant to join their team of highly qualified and experienced staff.

The post is a 16 hour’s Term time only with the option for additional hours to cover staff training and holidays.

Job Requirements:

Must hold a Level 2 or 3 CCLD or equivalent as recognised by Social Care Wales

Paediatric First Aid.

Good knowledge of child development and play needs

Provide the children with a safe and secure environment

Support children to learn and grow

Promote good relationships with staff, children and families
