It was really refreshing to see that Conwy Council have carried out a mid year review and have implemented an increase to providers halfway through the year to support them to increase salaries for staff as to protect the sector during the cost of living crisis. I’m not aware of any other authority that has taken the same approach as most have a clear “if you don’t ask, you won’t get”attitude but the reality is that even if you do ask, you won’t get.
